Her primary mission lies in educating people that nutritious foods taste great. She does this by merging her passion for food with nutrition.
Annette is a registered and licensed dietitian and received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in Food Science & Technology from Texas A&M University. She received her clinical training through Texas A&M University, completing rotations at Scott and White Memorial Hospital and the Olin E. Teague Veterans Medical Center.
Prior to forming her consulting company, Annette worked for 15 years as a scientist specializing in the sensory properties of foods and beverages: she has an unique understanding of why people like certain foods and dislike others. Annette is the current Secretary for the Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is licensed to practice nutrition in the Maryland. She is a trained focus group moderator and has conducted over 150 groups. She volunteers her time and talents to the Maryland office of the American Diabetes Association and has authored several publications in leading professional journals such as Appetite, Food Quality and Preference and the Journal of Sensory Studies.
Annette is truly passionate about cooking and eating. Her earliest childhood memories recall hours of sitting inside a kitchen cabinet while paging through her mother’s cookbooks. She is an avid reader of cookbooks and nutrition related literature and enjoys doing yoga and playing the piano in her spare time.
